What Does IOP Stand For?
IOP stands for “intensive outpatient program.” IOP programs treat substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders, as well as trauma-based IOP which offer group therapy and life skills classes for those with substance abuse issues.
- Intensive due to the schedule of treatment. You will meet with clinicians and support groups for at least 10 hours per week, for 12 weeks.
- Structured program that follow a schedule and routine. The program helps you build skills. IOP is similar to extra curricular activities for trauma-based, substance abuse disorders and mental health.
Is IOP Covered By My Insurance?
IOP is generally covered by most insurance carriers
Depending on your insurance and health care plan, the length of your program might vary. Before entering an IOP program, we can verify your insurance, and coverage and tell you more about your costs. We are INN with ALL major insurance carriers EXCEPT Colorado Access (Medicaid).
What Days and Times Is the Program?
Our Military/First Responders IOP program is offered from
9:00 am-12:00 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

About the Practice
Our Military/Veteran & First Responder Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers treatment options that are tailored to each service member/Veteran’s or First Responder’s specific needs and preferences. It is specifically geared for people who routinely face trauma, physical and mental stress, and life-threatening situations.
An initial session for assessment and evaluation is 90 minutes.
During this time, we will review the difficulties you are experiencing and will begin to develop a complete a treatment plan with you. The plan may additionally include referrals to practitioners of different modes of remedy such as individual, group or family therapy.
