Who We Are A little about us

Since 2010, A New Outlook Counseling Service has served the greater Denver area.

We are excited to introduce our newest addition, A New Outlook Recovery Services.  Our Colorado Recovery Services offer Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for both Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health Disorder patients. In addition, we also offer our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)/Day Treatment program.

A New Outlook is a proud member of the Better Business Bureau of the Denver/Boulder regional office. In addition an accredited business with an A+ rating.

A New Outlook Recovery Services is honored to be a member of the NeuroStar family of providers. Firstly, this advanced therapy service is uniquely designed for the treatment of major depressive disorders. In addition, this therapy is designed for adult patients who have not satisfactorily improved from previous antidepressant medication. Secondly, this therapy is ideal for those who require further intervention to achieve satisfactory results.

In addition, we also offer a full range of Psychiatric services with evidence-based treatment options.

Dr. Arshad William, MD
Medical Director/Psychiatrist

Ashad received his medical degree from the University of Benin, Nigeria. His psychiatry residency was at Harlem Hospital, College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University in New York where he was also the Chief Resident in his final year of residency.  Arshad is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and by the American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM), He is also a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a Member of the Colorado Psychiatric Society.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Regina Y. Le Verrier, MD
Psychiatrist

Dr. Reggie is a Board Certified Psychiatrist with 30 years of clinical experience in all areas of psychiatry and addiction.  She specialized in dual diagnosis and often see adolescents and young adults with substance abuse problems, mental health issues, and/or legal problems.   She has in-depth experience working with people with mood disorders (such as Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder), anxiety disorders (OCD, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder), PTSD, ADHD, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, developmental disabilities, Asperger’s and Autism.  Dr. Reggie is passionate about working with people abusing drugs/alcohol and provide medication to help with addiction to opiates, alcohol, and other drugs.  She has experience with adolescents and sees patients ages 13 and up.  Dr. Reggie will be taking the Addiction Medicine Boards this year to become Board Certified in Addiction Medicine.

She has an integrative approach and will rule out any medical causes for your symptoms.  She has extensive clinical experience in all psychiatric settings and can provide Suboxone and Naltrexone for opiate addiction and medication for alcoholism.   She is part of a large group and will refer you to other practitioners if needed including therapists who specialize in every diagnosis she treats.  She has worked in every area of psychiatry from juvenile detention centers to nursing homes.

Dr. Reggie is originally from South Florida and attended the University of Florida on scholarships, loans, and grants and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. She then attended the University of Miami on a Trustee Scholarship and student loans.  She completed her residency in New York City at St Luke’s Roosevelt and then in 1999 went back to NYC to do a Public Psychiatry Fellowship at Columbia.  Dr. Reggie knew she wanted to become a psychiatrist at age 12 when she read about the treatment of street heroin addicts.  Being a psychiatrist is what she was meant to do and she loves doing it.  She is very available to my patients and pride myself in giving the best treatment possible.

Dr. James DiGioia, DO
Psychiatrist

Dr. James DiGioia, DO is a board-certified psychiatrist who has been practicing for over 16 years. Dr. DiGioia focuses his practice on assisting the healing process for most mental health issues, including addictions, and is proficient in medication management for these conditions.

Trained as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), Dr. DiGioia is known for utilizing alternative complementary treatment for mental health conditions and encourages his patients to take advantage of natural solutions, to promote accelerated recovery. In addition he has broad experience with treating adults in both outpatient and inpatient settings. He has also served as the Medical Director for numerous therapeutic facilities.

Dr. DiGioia was raised in the northeast but has called the mountain west home for over 15 years.

Executive Director

Robert J. Johnson has been with A New Outlook Counseling Service providing counseling services in Highlands Ranch, CO since 2010. He received his Master’s Degree in Marriage, Family & Child Therapy from the University of Phoenix.

He is a Substance Abuse Professional, Master Addiction Counselor and a Licensed Addiction Counselor. His experience includes private practice, residential in-patient, intensive residential treatment, outpatient, sober living and therapeutic communities.

Robert focuses his practice on therapy and counseling and has been assisting patients for over 13 years.

Robert was born in Iowa and has lived in Colorado since 1976. In addition, he is currently pursuing his licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy and professional counseling.  Robert spends his free time playing golf with his family and friends.

 

 

Paul S. Lovato, BS, CAC III
Clinical Director

Paul S. Lovato graduated from Metro State University of Denver with a Bachelor of Science in Human Services with the Emphasis in the Addictions.  He has been a Colorado Addictions Counselor III for over 28 years.  Paul is also certified as a Trauma Specialist who offers an eclectic approach to counseling using various styles.  He is proficient in individual therapy, groups, trauma, and family/couples/marriage counseling.  He has created workshops and groups on various topics, most recently an 8-week Co-Dependency workshop.


His 32 years of experience in recovery from addictions and trauma has given him a unique opportunity to get a comprehensive view of recovery.   Paul has been blessed to have two of the best mentors in the field of addiction and trauma that he has ever discovered in the therapeutic community.
