Cameron Gage Therapist A New Outlook Recovery Services Colorado

Cameron W. Gage, MA, LPC-C

Therapist

My name is Cameron Gage, and I was born in Lubbock, Texas. I was adopted shortly after birth and moved to Vernon, Texas, at the age of five, where I grew up and later attended community college. In 1999, I transferred to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and graduated in 2002, with a Bachelor of Social Work degree.

After college, I briefly pursued a career in teaching before transitioning into law enforcement. In 2007, I began working as a state park police officer, a position I held until 2014. That year, I enrolled in graduate school at Dallas Theological Seminary, where I earned my degree in 2019.

Following graduation, I planned to pursue licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas. However, limited opportunities and the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted those plans. Although I had hoped to relocate to Colorado, the positions I applied for did not come to fruition.

In 2021, I discovered an opportunity with Wingate Wilderness Therapy in Utah. The program aligned well with my interests, and after interviewing, I was offered a chance to train in August 2021. I began working with Wingate in September 2021 and remained there until September 2022, when I accepted a position at Third Way Center in Denver. After nearly a year there, I joined Griffith Centers in August 2023, where I am currently employed, though I am presently in a summer inactive season.

My approach to therapy is grounded in warmth, collaboration, and a deep respect for your unique experiences. I work from a person-centered foundation, which means I believe you are the expert on your own life—and my role is to support and guide you with empathy, curiosity, and non-judgment. I draw from evidence-based approaches that help people better understand their emotions, build healthier relationships, and take meaningful steps toward change.
